Dr. Utts is currently a Professor, Division of Statistics, the University of California, Davis. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the State University of New York, Binghamton in mathematics and psychology. She received an M.A. and Ph.D. in statistics from Penn State. Dr. Utts has been elected a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, and the American Statistical Association. She is a former Associate Editor for the Journal of the American Statistical Association and Statistical Editor for the Journal of the American Society for Psychical Research. She has written two books, including Seeing Through Statistics along with many articles and book reviews for a variety of journals.
